Why Solar

Benefits of Solar Photovoltaic Panels!

  • No need for direct sunlight so power is supplied all year around
  • No maintenance required with expected solar system lifetimes of 30+ years
  • Reduce your electricity bills by up to 100%
  • Get paid to use your electricity through the FIT scheme
  • Earn even more by selling any surplus back to the national grid at higher rates
  • Solar panels increase the value of your property
  • No planning permission is needed to install solar panels
  • Reduce your carbon footprint with typical C02 reductions of 1.4 tonnes per year

Which Equipment

The main components for solar PV installation are the panels themselves and the Inverters.

PV Panels

Ace Solar Power supply panels that have been tested to obtain MCS accreditation.  All are guaranteed to give at least 80% power output after 25 years.
We supply various different makes of panels, each with slightly different dimensions, output, technology and cost, however, one is pretty much like another in what they achieve.

Q. So what panel is best for you?

A. The size of your roof could be a consideration, for example a small roof may require smaller panels to achieve the desired output.

It should be stressed that little can go wrong with a solar panel as it has no moving parts and there is very little likelihood of you ever having to make a claim. However you may feel more comfortable selecting a slightly more expensive, highly efficient, well- known brand we have a selection for you to review

Either way our experts at Ace Solar Power will help you select the most suitable panels for your overall requirements.

Inverters

As well as the PV panels, the inverter is an essential part of the process of producing electricity.  The panels themselves generate DC (direct current) electricity. However every electrical item in your household runs on AC (alternating current) and the job of the inverter is to convert this DC electricity into AC.

The inverter is a very clever piece of kit and it is important that the correct inverter is selected, depending upon the size of your PV system, to maximise your output. It uses a technique called maximum power point tracking (MPPT) to get the most possible power from the PV array. Any given PV module will have a MPPT – essentially this defines current that the inverter should draw from the PV module in order to get the most possible power.
Inverters are able to feed back to you a great deal of information. For example it can tell you exactly how much power the system is generating at any one time, the cumulative total power over a day, a month or even a year. Charts will also show trends in output and it becomes addictive to find out to the penny how much you are earning from your system. Ace Solar Power try to use the market leading  inverters where possible.
